A dogged display on a bad pitch and Williams is an excellent goalkeeper. Plus some neat football in the last 10 to wind the game down. It's thrashing out results like that, and against Carlisle last week, that keep me sceptically hopeful that the U's can gain an automatic promotion place.

Francis Laurent of Southend is potentially brilliant. Plays the game like a school ground kickabout just trying to take on as many players as he can. He's end product is about as good as Nobles free kicks though. Still, he's young. |
